Njukasl traži kaznu za De Jonga

Njukasl Junajted je zatražio kaznu za igrača Mančester Sitija Najdžela De Jonga, koji je slomio nogu Hatemu Ben Arfi tokom utakmice ta dva tima.

Zbog tog poteza De Jong je već izbačen iz nacionalnog tima Holandije, dok Francuza očekuje operacija zbog dvostrukog preloma noge.

“Njukasl Junajted je već poslao oštro pismo Fudbalskoj asocijaciji Engleske po pitanju tog incidenta. Klub je tražio da se pokrene odgovarajući postupak protiv De Jonga zbog upotrebe prekomerne sile”, kaže se u saopštenju Njukasla.

De Jonga, koji je već otputovao u Holandiju da bi se pridružio reprezentaciji, selektor Bert van Marvijk je izbacio iz tima za mečeve u kvalifikacijama za Evropsko prvenstvo 2012. godine sa Moldavijom i Švedskom.

S druge strane, menadžer Sitija Roberto Manćini je pružio podršku 25-godišnjem De Jongu.

“Kao menadžer kluba želim da kažem da je, iako normalno željan takmičenja, Najdžel je prvenstveno odličan igrač, a uz to iskren i lojalan i ima moju potpunu podršku”, rekao je Manćini.

The referee didn't even give a free-kick against the Manchester City player, so he'll be back for their next game. Unfortunately it will be a long time before Ben Arfa plays again - and we need a punishment that will make players think twice before going into challenges like that.

The FA should bring in a rule banning players for the same time injured players are out.

I've heard it said that De Jong touched the ball, so the referee deemed it was not even worthy of a free-kick. But you can't tell me that just because someone gets the ball it can't be a bad challenge.
