1. Robbie Savage, Blackburn - Derby, £ 1 500 000
Savage has seen his best days and to pay £ 1,5 million for a player that turns 34 next season looks like desperate shopping. Savage is a hard worker, but without pace and good passing abillities he will not be able to make much differance at a relegated club.

2. Emanuel Villa, Tecos - Derby, £ 2 000 000
Another desperate move in the market by Paul Jewell. Villa has scored a few goals in his time in football, but so far almost invissible at Derby.

3. Owen Hargreaves, Bayern Munich - Man Utd, £ 17 000 000
So far no sign of a player that will be significant for Man Utd, and to a price of £ 17 million it looks like bad used money so far. The player is not used much and must be described as a frinch player at Man Utd. His injury history also makes this move a bit strange. At his best a wonderfull player, but no this is not a good move.

4. Joey Barton, Man City - Newcastle, £ 5 800 000
Barton never managed to lift Man City and they struggled in the Premier League with Barton as a central midfielder. His personal problems is also a factor that must be taken into consideration. Big Sam did a lot of good at Bolton, but this signing might have been a bit too hasty and Barton's qualities in a central midfield position is doubtful

5. Steve Davis, Aston Villa - Fulham, £ 4 000 000
Despite doing well on loan at Rangers in Scotland, it makes it difficult to understand why Fulham used £ 4 million on a player that they can't have at their club after signing him during the summer. The N Ireland international is a quality player but not really a great signing when you loan him out a few months after signing him for your first team

6. Bernardo Corradi, Parma - Man City, Undisclosed
Didn't score much in his 19 league games at City, and is no longer with the club after moving back to Italy and Parma. The player didn't like the English way of life and might never return to England.

7. Dave Nugent, Preston - Portsmouth, £ 6 000 000
Not really given a chance at Portsmouth and seen as a possible loan target for several Championship clubs. Nugent is a great prospect but for Redknapp to use £ 6 million for an England international and not even playing him looks a bit a strange

8. Erik Nevland, Groningen - Fulham, £ 1 850 000
A desperate move from new Fulham manager Roy Hodgson. To use a substantial amount on a player you hardly would consider as a Premier League player and at the age of 30, makes this a great flop. Nevland was doing ok in Holland but so far just been given three games by Hodgson

9. Kieron Dyer, Newcastle - West Ham, £ 6 000 000
To use £ 6 million on a player that in his days used more time on the treatment table than on the field, is waste of money. Alan Curbishley has so far used Dyer in 2 league games so far this season. Dyer at his best is of course a great player but so far it has cost West Ham £ 3 million a game.

10 David Rozehnal, Paris - Newcastle, £ 2 900 000
Rozehnal is described as a good player. A Czech international with 35 caps for his country and doing reasonable well when playing under Sam Allardyce. Dumped by Keegan who doesn't really have many quality defenders. Currently on loan at Lazio
